Parliament and Funkadelic frontman George Clinton has been responsible for the most iconic funk songs ever written with the various groups he’s shared the stage with and even into his own solo projects.  From Atomic Dog to Flashlight, he is one of the premier voice of funk.  And with that notoriety comes thievery of said artworks.

That’s why George made a visit to the Brooklyn Law School yesterday to discuss copyrighting issues with the new law students. According to the Brooklyn Eagle, George is pretty frustrated saying that it’s not the sampling of his music that bothers him, nor is it the musicians who use portions of his work who are the problem, but that it is the record companies, lawyers and crooks who are the ones profiting from this flagrant copyright fraud.
