Soul Train Awards Is Gonna be Funky

Posted by funkatop On November - 2 - 2011

Soul Train Awards 2011An amazing list of performers is set to take the stage at the Soul Train Awards on BET on November 27th hosted by Cedric The Entertainer.  The show will be recorded in Atlanta on November 17th and if we can make it happen, we’re gonna be there.  The annual awards show has seen a list of stars of past and present and this year seems to be a tad funkier than usual. The show will showcase two Soul Train Legend Awards to be presented to Earth, Wind and Fire and Gladys Night.

The show will open with a performance from The Original 7ven (aka The Time) and then include a virtual “Who’s Who” of performers including Cee Lo Green, Common, Freddie Jackson, Musiq Soulchild, Chrisette Michelle, Marsha Ambrosius, Natalie Cole, Jill Scott, Robin Thicke, Melanie Fiona, Keith Sweat, Bebe Winans, Joe, Lalah Hathaway and Kenny Latimore.

There will also be pre-recorded tribute testimonials by Elton John, Smokey Robinson, Patti Labelle, Will.i.Am, The Roots, and Marie Osmond.
